For Parents

Curriculum

At each age, children are exposed to stimulating learning opportunities. They also develop independence, learn how to socialize, learn respect for each other and the world around them. Physical activities, play, music, dance, language and creativity are a daily occurrence. See our programs for more information.

Nutrition and Menus

To help children develop, learn, and grow we assist parents in building healthy eating habits that will last a lifetime. We include nutritionally balanced meals and snacks from recipes created just for us by our Chef, prepared and served on the premises in a dedicated kitchen. Fresh food, sourced from local growers wherever possible, forms the basis of our meal preparation. We accommodate food allergies and food sensitivities, and also respect and aim to accommodate special diets and food restrictions of children in our care.

Qualified Teaching Staff

The care and well-being of children is a responsibility we take seriously. Staff are carefully selected to ensure they possess the experience, interests and qualifications to meet our standards of excellence. Thorough background checks are completed on all staff, prior to them being hired. ECE and ECA are chosen for our classrooms.

SSCC Community

Our Family Appreciation Day (FAD) brings the SSCC family together – educators, students and families – for a fun-filled annual outing. To encourage cultural diversity, we recognize different customs throughout the year. Parents will often attend school to share time and knowledge with children, whether to speak about their job, participate in storytelling, or join a classroom to quietly observe.
